The Christmas card was developed in 1843 in England as a commercial device for selling postage, and has expanded to signify everything from an impersonal commodity to near-intrusive display of family successes. The advent of the photo Christmas card serves as a happy middle ground. It's not an off-the-rack card full of empty sentiment, yet it's happily void of tedious details.

The photo Christmas card contains only one image, just one chance to exhibit the complexity and beauty of family life to dozens and dozens of friends, near strangers, and distant relatives. The selected picture must equal the best possible public face for others to enjoy, envy and perhaps even ask out loud "Who the hell is this?"

Using peer-to-peer software (see me.jpg project) Yes Sir combined several choice images found on home computers using the search term "christmascardphoto.jpg" to create the ultimate photo christmas card for our own use. We have no idea who these kids are, so don't feel bad if you don't either.
